I need the baptism. I need the fire. I need the Holy Ghost filling. I need the touch. I need the healing. I want the power. Call it what you what you will, I want it. I'm tired of only a thinking man's Christianity. I'm looking for motivation, change, transformation and action. I need to not be told what to do, as much as how to do it.

A pastor I know said to me just yesterday, "We have allowed cerebral understanding of the word to interfere with the power." I'll go along with that. I want to get the ball and run with it right through all those steps and principles and propositions. Get the assignment. Get the power. Do it.

This is resurrection power. His power. His resurrection in this body. How about that? That's what's walking around in you today and this weekend. Be on guard; that's a lot of power you're responsible for.

Look not to the past, or to your grief, look to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, who has seen the other side of the cross. Too many on this side taking notes. Too many with their notebooks and folding chairs. It's over. We've seen enough here. Jesus has already been to the other side and it's His resurrection in this body. Time to live again.

Hi John,

Thank you.

This is what faith in the living God is all about.

As Paul said:

“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”
(1 Corinthians 4:20)

Blessed are those who “test positive” for the Holy Spirit:

" (...) test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? (...)" (2 Corinthians 13:5)

Pity that we get afraid when God’s power really starts to operate, passionately wanting to set us free - and we freeze instead of taking the required step forward.

Such a pity - because thus we miss out on

“(…) the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 1:19-20)

But, thank God, there will always be other opportunities - let’s not miss ‘em.

Because God

“(…) is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20)

Wow this really spoke to me today. I have avoided the organized "church" of today because I was unjustly judged during my divorce. I hear that happens to women a lot, but in my situation I was truly innocent and judged by "church family people" who didn't know my circumstances and don't have any idea what I had been through... and their judgement was way off...however spilling the story would hurt my kids... and who is to say anyone would believe me?... so I just took the rejection and quit attending church... and then recently I met a man at work who people reject for his past... yet he recently has told me his side of his story... It is truly not our job to judge others. I really get that...I feel closer to God when I just go to work each day, live life, and accept everyone with God's love... even if I don't agree with how they live their lives. I "hate the sin, but love the sinner." and it is so freeing!!! I have been a much happier and spiritually peaceful person since I began living my life this way. It is the only way I have met the friends I have met, even though their lifestyle is different...and I can be their friends and love them with God's love anyway. It is so sad that much of the modern church has lost sight of this.
